Funerals and Memorials

Not everyone is affiliated with a church or religious institution and some may have a particular wish to have a secular ceremony. 

Asa Secular Celebrant, I  can conduct the procedures for a secular funeral or memorial. I conduct secular funerals, memorials, naming ceremonies, and marriages. 

As a Secular Celebrant, I  can conduct the procedures for a secular funeral or memorial without bias or prejudice, no matter your faith, worldview, or sexual orientation.  Whether we share similar beliefs or not, I endeavour to create a space that allows for your personal philosophical reflection in facing loss as well as the wishes and beliefs of the deceased.

  With the deepest respect for you and your loved ones. I will meet with you to design a tailor-made ceremony. Whatever you wish to include: appropraite readings, music, and simple rituals; a eulogy and tributes by family and friends.

The purpose of a non-religious funeral is to celebrate the life of the deceased, as well as give mourners the opportunity to express their emotions in an open forum. People can share their grief, and support one another, finding meaning and solace by coming together as a group.
