When the Pandemic hit, in the face of loss on both a personal and global scale, I felt a powerful need to help.
Before re-training and studying again to embark on this journey, my main world of work was the theatre. I studied grief and trauma councelling and now offer a range of end of life services.
I am a theatre director and yoga teacher who combines a lifetime of teaching and making theatre with a deep love and commitment to the practice of yoga. I offer a range of classes, workshops and retreats with a focus either of these practices: yoga or self awareness through creative arts.
My dear friend, and founding artistic director of Hearts & Eyes Theatre Collective, Peter Hayes had a tattoo on his upper arm. It was a quote from Richard Rohr: "Keep your heart open in hell". Peter taught me so much about theatre and directing - and about living with generosity and love. The times we are living through are challenging, nationally, globally and often personally and we need tools to help us keep our hearts open. If we want to live authentic and empathetic lives, we need clarity and insight and deep feelings. We need out hearts and our eyes wide open.
I offer support to bereaved and dying people with the deepest respect and without bias or prejudice, no matter your faith, worldview, or sexual orientation.
My worldview is rooted in ethical Secular Humanism and Atheism. Whether we share similar beliefs or not, I hope to create a space that allows for your personal philosophical reflection in facing loss.
I conduct secular funerals, memorials, naming ceremonies, and marriages.
